Yeah...that was from one blog...i did some at other blogs... however even though it helped me get indexed, I haven't seen any worthwhile traffic from em... I get like 30 to 50 uniques a month from each.
Im not ranking significantly...maybe it needs high numbers.

@Davioli: you've got 2k backlinks according to yahoo and you're not ranking significantly?

I'm new to the SEO game, is 2k not a lot? I know it depends on whether you're trying to rank for "reduce debt" or "underwater basket weaving in alaska", but I'd have thought 2k backlinks would be significant for just about anything...

2k backlinks from a single site doesn't help much.... if it were different websites..with different pageranks...it would work.

2k isn't enough these days...you need 10..to 15k to dominate a good term(not long tail)

Ive just been optimizing for google as that brings me more traffic.

Yes i agree, these days 2k links does not seem that much when competing against established sites, but i do see that a lot of sites are not really actively going after links in a lot of areas so i am sure it will be a matter of time to catch up for some niches.
