I didn't see a post about YACG so I decided to go ahead and post about it

[YACG] Yet Another Content Generator is open source, and the most important part - FREE :)

You can download it at getyacg.com

Hey dude, articleomatic.info doesn't work nemore . can u tell me of a place where i can learn how to use yacg . i'm kinda newbie
 
This seems like a cool app. I have downloaded it but figure out to set it up. Which permissions do I need to change to make it function properly? Can some using it please tell me and give some feedback on it.

Upload all the files to your server, then chmod -c 777 this:
cache
keywords.txt
ips.txt
sitemap.xml
feed.xml

After you done that upload your articles to /articles folder (use only *.txt files).
Upload your keywords.txt file, modify the config.inc.php to your needs.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your help so far. I have followed your directions above accurately. The index page now shows with the error below:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/vitalstr/public_html/articles/hooks/articles_table.php on line 6

The keywords show up alright as links that go to blank pages on click.
Any help will be appreciated.

In your config.inc.php you have a line where it says define('FLICKR_API', 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx); // FLICKR API

Remove "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" and replace them with your own FLICKR_API.
If you don't have it you can create one here http://www.flickr.com/
 
Thanks for the help. Now one little glitch...I think. I am getting the error message below:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/vitalstr/public_html/articles/hooks/main.php on line 18

Any solutions?

yeah I get a few errors too - just going through config now too see if I missed something

OK it all works great - visually anyway, but none of the links work any ideas??
