I do bit work online, and in between jobs I stop by Yahoo Answers to answer a few questions and refresh my brain. Yesterday some jerk called me out for moving posts (which I don't) and said I was the only Level 7 posting on the threads. I was like, "I'm a Level 7?!" ;) I checked my account, and it's true. I also have nearly 50,000 points. haha

Soooo ... I'm going to attempt to make some money using affiliate accounts. Going to be looking through posts for a few days, but will be posting my first round starting on Monday. I'll keep everyone updated with the methods I'm using and their results. Wish me luck!

Yikes. A bit over 14,000.

In my defense, this has been over a period of 8 or 9 years. :p

Are you sure, that you want to risk your level 7 account with affiliate spam?
You can buy level 2 or level 3 accs for that.

I don't really plan on spamming... just listing relevant products on threads where they make sense. Thanks for bringing it up though. :)

The only way to put in links in Answers is to put them in the "Source" and you'd have to shorten them with a URL Shortener. Besides,I wouldn't really use that Level 7 account if I were you. You could instead flip it for some quick cash.

Just boy those accounts, I'm pretty sure they are cheap to get them.

And just increase from there or use iMarco to automate this.

Serious question, no sass intended. ;) What else could I do with a Level 7 account that would be worth reserving it and buying new accounts for affiliate marketing? I'm literally doing nothing productive with it. Also, it's linked to my old email address that I use, so I don't really want to sell it to someone else.

By the way, this is what I have done so far...

Started a new email at gmail
Signed up as an Amazon and CJ affiliate
Started a new blogger aimed at reviewing/recommending products, adding all disclaimers for affiliate sites in the footer

Plan A
Search new posts at Yahoo Answers by going to the homepage, clicking "Answer" and customizing for "No Best Answer" and "All Categories."
Browse posts for someone who needs a product
Find relevant item on Amazon, etc, get the affiliate link code, throw it up on my blog
Post an answer with a link to the blog page in the source, post a few without links as well

Plan B
Write new ebook on popular YA topic
Publish
Post about it on blog
Post url to blog in YA source field

4/6 - Plan A (5 posts, 2 links, 14 pageviews), Plan B (Preorder page on KDP, Outline, Intro and Chapter 1)

Think that's enough for tonight. Now for binge watching some Walking Dead. :D

Results from last night: 3 clicks, 1 order :D

4/7 - Plan A: 4 posts, 3 links Plan B: 2nd chapter

Rethought the general product blog, and started one focused on one specific product. It took most of the day, but it looks GREAT!

New website, 30 views, no clicks, no sales, no emails -- think I might have to tweak the pop-up a little
Original blog not promoted since Thursday, 6 views, 3 clicks, 1 sale

I set up a pre-order of my book, and I set another of my Kindle books to free for the next 3 days - 17 free downloads, unfortunately no pre-orders

Plumbing issues derailed my efforts a bit yesterday. The kids overflowed their toilet, but no one noticed until water was pouring through the kitchen ceiling. :irked: Results were not promising for the current design of the standalone website... or maybe my expectations are too high. I'm not sure. Morale is definitely down after a day of cleaning dirty toilet water out of my cabinets, etc, so I may just be suffering from the "Someone Get Me Outta Here" blues.

Standalone website - posted URL 4 times, 36 visits, no ad clicks, no sales, no email signups.

General blog - posted 0 times, 2 visits yesterday, no ad clicks, no sales

Book - Did not work on at all

I've read from different sources that Monday is the best day to post questions to YA and then to answer them from different accounts throughout the week. Today? I have (6) blogs and (8) copy pages to write for paying clients, then I will work on the book, tweak the website a little, add a few products, and then post the URL a few times. Probably add a few more products to the general blog and post that link a few times too.

Good luck on your journeys everybody!

Instead of posting directly to questions with links try enhancing answers used with different accounts by using the level 7 to buffer existing posts made by other accounts.

Dont ever risk an ad count that big.

For example account A posts: Hey this is the solution to the problem. (Insert Link)

And account B follows with: You know that's deeply intriguing - (DON'T POST LINK)

Thanks! I was wondering ... is there something else I should be doing with this level 7? I kind of feel like it's going to waste.

Okay, so, I finally listened to people in terms of automation. I bought 5 proxies, 5 new YA accounts and a program that will ask/respond automatically. Now I just have to figure out how to get them to work. :D

Mission accomplished, and it only took FOUR HOURS.
