xsserver driving me insane - any other BH friendly VPS?

Over the past 2 weeks, Xsserver has gone down 4 times for up to 1 day at a time, leading to lost money and more valuable time down the drain. Their datacenter is fucking up. Each network 'crash' requires a reboot (after xsserver takes 12-24 hours to fix the problem), so I can't automatically ride the problem out. I need to run my tools 24/7 and xsserver is fast becoming a non-viable option.

Does anyone know of any VPS providers that are BH friendly. Not talking illegal stuff e.g. email spam, just the usual - SB, Xrumer etc.?

It's going to take a while, some time and money to pack up my stuff and leave but it's fast becoming intolerable on xsserver right now.

P.S. Thanks xsserver, after being a loyal customer for 1 1/2 years you guys really don't give a shit, cos at the end of the day I pay for it, not you. No compensation offered even after it's happened 4 times.

are u using a xsserver vps? or server?

there is a service provider here on BHW. hostamus or something.

Check the BST section here on BHW for a VPS. We have a control panel so no waiting on support for a reboot.

Hope that helps you! ;)

Well as you need reliability i could recommand a dedicated server, you would get rid of the virtualization layer which could be badly handled sometime on the top of the network.

You can check the link in my signature.

The server can not find the requested page:

host-stage.net/bhw-secret-page.php (port 80)
Please forward this error screen to www.host-stage.net's WebMaster.

Just run from them, worst hosting experience I've ever had. Also upgrading plans does not the solve issue from a VPS to a Dedi. Also P.S. if you bad mouth them on a forum they will not refund your money, so be careful.

Lol, that's OK, they don't refund money anyway. My intention is not to badmouth them anyway -- in fact after a rocky start they have been very good and stable for around 8 months. But they have been having datacenter problems and I KNOW it's their network issues putting my VPS offline each time, and each time they say it's fixed permanently, but the same problems keep happening again.

At the moment hostamus is too expensive for me. I need a quad core i5 or dual core i7, don't really care that much about RAM, 1gb is enough for me. 100 mbps port at least. I've been looking at blackboxrdp - any thoughts on them?

I bought the VPS subscription and I will cancel it after 2 weeks. They have slow system, laggy and unstable servers. And after yesterday's accident they pissed me off:

Currently the vps hosted on DENODE is down due to fsck going on the main host node, We currently do not have any ETA it might take upto 24-72 hrs or less to rebuild the filesystem, once fsck is completed vps will be back online. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused due to this downtime.

72 hours...WTF...i need stable 24/7! I don't expect any refund for this...I'll look for another VPS as well.

Has anyone experience with some Europe VPS ?

Story of my life trying to find a reliable server, i have all but given up

Try HostMyDomainNow.com. Support is outstanding. VPS may be a bit pricey, but worth every penny. Good luck. dgp

Go for hostamus , i am very satisfied with them. Damien is very great and support is top notch.

I like FDVservers

Little more expensive, but I don't deal with the BS of crashing etc.

Using xsserver from last 2 months and still have not faced any issue

BTW for other providers check Hostamus also have good VPS and support

been using hostamus since one months ago, no problem so far and they have good speed

I have one windows vps on xserver working almost 24/7 last 8 months and so far it is fine. Also the support respond to me for 5-10 min. But yea, its a little bit slow.
