Hi,
Is anyone else having problems with their VPS on XSServer?

My server went down about 8 hours ago and has been offline ever since. I contacted support at XSServer who asked if I wanted my VPS rebooted and I haven't heard anything since then, the VPS is still down so all my sites have been offline for over 8 hours and I cant connect to my VPS admin panel it just says "not available" and when I try to go to any of my sites I get a dns error that says "server fail". Now they are not responding to any tickets or emails and their phone is saying not available.

Whats going on? their support is normally very good.

Mines working fine

Thanks rippa911,
I wonder why they are not responding, normally I get an answer to any tickets within 15-30 minutes. I wouldn't mind so much if someone just responded from their support team and let me know whats going on.

Mine works too, also dedis are more stable than vps on xss

I finally got an answer and OMG!!!
After 11 hours xsserver.eu finally got back to me with the following "matter of fact" mesage

Hello,
We have found that some vpses were deleted automatically by system, Unfortunately your vps was also terminated via system. We checked every logs and could not found any unauthorized access. We have emailed solusvm about the issue. Do you have any backups of your sites ? We can restore your files ASAP. Due to this issue we will offer you a month free on service.

The sites on that VPS were my total income and the backps were on the VPS!
So that's it I have lost my income, one of the sites on that VPS was earning me good money and I had been working on for over 3 years and now its gone and they offer me 1 months free service!!!!

I'm just numb and don't know what to do now, I will be taking some legal advice I think.

That really is horrible. Its why you should regularly export and backup your databases. You can also be the victim or someone hacking into your server/hosting or your host can go belly up without ever telling anyone and one day they just no longer exist. Consider backing up to your personal machine monthly.

Sorry to hear man, that sucks!

I wish you recoup asap. Maybe ask the company for a better compensation?.

Also, what wowhaxor said. I know it's an afterthought and it won't bring your websites back but it's a good habit to pick from now on. Even when you have a dedicated with good in-server data storage redundancy, you can't be too careful and you better backup offsite, preferably to a different network, ie not same datacenter. Also keep backup files on your computer too, just in case.

Offsite backups are as important as your business, .

I applied their package yesterday but until now it is still in pending position....
what a nightmare
