Hey CPAChamp,
you can have good results using any kind of tools, but you always have to know how to use them right. So get deeper into it and then master yourself.
For building websites you can use any HTML/PHP coding software, there are many free and paid ones out there. (I recommend Coda2 if you're on a Mac). If you want quick results without much coding, just use Wordpress.
For linkbuilding i recommend GSA SER with CB. And the swiss army knife ScrapeBox, of course.

In rest all depends to your needs, will u need more complex program with possibility of work with Facebook VK.com and other Social networks,
possibility of posting to Blogs/forums/guestbooks etc... ( http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-30-discount-xrumer-december.html#post7599925 ) + Hrefer as a parser and best OCR (Captcha recognition including textual question/answer capthcas)
but with some longer learning cure which at the end will bring you benefits for years... and will give u possibility to learn XRumer to new engines/forms etc...

complex and powerful tools can't be easy.. all of them need learning.
it's like to drive Fiat and Ferrari, u can sit in Fiat and drive it, and u'll be at needed destination, but it will not be so easy with an Ferrari, u'll need to learn how to drive it on it's full power, but at the end u'll reach ur destination 10x time faster and with much more comfort and pleasure.
