xRumer's complexity -- an overstatement?

I've been doing a ludicrous amount of research on these forums lately about xrumer -- obviously, as the price tag is so high (and the near-requirement of a dedicated server adds so much more on top of that), one wants to know everything they can about it before buying.

One of the things that seems to be repeated over and over again is that xrumer is incredibly complex -- with a VERY HIGH learning curve -- impossible for newbs to understand and implement. Training videos cost $xxx, full tutorials nonexistent (or hidden in the VIP section which I can't access). You need a comprehensive xas_AI.txt file, or hours and hours of teaching it yourself (which is billed as a monstrously difficult task), before you can even approach double-digit success rates.

My question is -- is it REALLY that difficult to understand? Obviously a beginner will be nowhere near as effective as an expert who's logged hundreds of hours tweaking, but the general sentiment seems to be that new users will be almost hopelessly lost. I downloaded the help file from botmasterlabs.net (although for version 5) and read through it -- the interface seems logical and all the options seem to make sense. Is all the scary rhetoric just to keep out potential competition? Or to save the common idiot his $600? Or is there actually a huge disconnect between understanding the software and understanding how to make the software work?

I downloaded the xrumer demo and I agree it all seemed so basic and easy to understand. I think a lot of people don't take full advantage of what xrumer can really do, and that is where the problems come from. Xrumer can be used to do things that 95% of people who own it will never do. If you TRULY want to use it to its fullest potential, just practice practice practice. If you want to create forum profiles and forum posts... It seems pretty basic to me.

Look at it this way, there are dozens of strategies you can use with XRumer.

Creating profiles is easy, basically point and click. However when it comes to implementing traffic campaigns or more complex linking structures, the learning curve becomes steeper and steeper.

What you need to understand is that Xrumer is not a silver bullet, it is what you make of it, nothing more - nothing less.

There are no such resources where you can expand "Complex linking structures" maybe only russian xrumer forum may refer to some complex linking structures but definitely not english xrumer forum.

the basic linkbuilding is not complicated...its just a matter of trail and error to see what works, but no big deal...

teaching it new forums and getting it to do custom jobs is the tricky part

The downside to xrumer is that there is no guide on how to use it...
Why? because it would take forever to explain the multiple ways it can be used.

However using xrumer as standard, as long as you have a good list (scraped or purchased) you can get good results from using the basic's like creating profiles or making posts.

Its when you get to things like Q&A & using xrumer with other various blackhat techniques or optimising xrumer for certain projects.

I find the best way to play with xrumer is setup create multiple setups (although dont run it more than 2x at the same time as you will kill your license)

But just copy it into multiple folders are test different setups for different types of posting and keep tweaking, so that way you have a setup for say forums, blogs, creating profiles etc..

its not super hard to use xrumer and you will find that you will learn as time goes on.

it is difficult to learn because the manual that comes with it is not very good; and some of the things that you need to know are not even mentioned in the manual.

the worst part is that you mostly need to figure it out yourself so that you can take full advantage of its capacity. you will do a lot of trial and error to figure out how to run xrumer properly. it takes several months to master Xrumer unlike other alternative forum profile creators like Profile Link Robot. Profile Link Robot takes only 2 Days to master.

if you just run xrumer with basic understanding about it and without getting a dedicated server, then you are losing money.

if you just want to create profiles and are not into heavy stuff, i would recommend "Profile Link Robot" because it is cheaper and it is easy to master.

I'm reading this too often...
I want to know what you did not understand in xrumer manual personally for me after I read manual I understand almost all functions. Also xrumer interface is pretty straightforward and easy to understand at least for me....

Thanks for the feedback all -- I pulled the trigger today. Will report back for anyone else in the same situation after a week or so of working with it.

xrumer is easy complex comes when u want to create own mods and want something custom rather than that is easy task !

Xrumer is superb tool if you use it the right way you can easily dominate your competitors. Iv been using it for over 2 years and the new version is a must!

I had a little chat to the creator about xrumer and what it can do he replied this:

I agree that Xrumer is complex in some aspects but for the people who are very confused, just search through the forums, maybe some videos and try your best to at least get an idea. Mass brainstorm, in my opinion comes into play with Xrumer everyday haha

it looks like that the most complex and problematic thing is knowledge(brain) how to use this tool ;-)

someone plz provide a link for xrumer7, can't find it anywhere!
