Xrumer Through VPN To Fool Datacentre

Hey Guys,

I found a really nice deal on servers with 100mbit lines to hammer my Xrumer on but I have run into a problem.

The datacentre are monitoring the traffic and after a while they think that the box has been compromised by a bot and shut it down. They then inform me that my server has been hacked and I should fix it.

This is very inconvenient so I am looking at a way to help stop it.

I think they have filters that sniff traffic from routers and identify if a link is repeatedly spammed out, as if they had actually gone into my server they would see its me doing it.

If I setup a VPN will it encrypt the traffic and stop datacentre warning bells ringing?

I have talked to VPN company and some networking people I know until I am blue in the face but I just can't make them understand what I am trying to do. That is why I am coming here as you guys are in the know and hopefully get where I am coming from.

One of your options could be to setup an encrypted VPN between your server and another server. It will prevent your current web host from detecting the traffic.

However, as I said, you will need another server. So basically, you run into the same problems.

My recommendation: Use proxies.

Yes, traffic from your server to the VPN is encrypted. The datacenter cannot tell what kind of traffic you're sending.

If traffic is being monitored, that won't work. Regular HTTP requests through HTTP proxies can't be encrypted.

Yes, Im already using proxies. Just wanna fool the packet sniffers.

Thanks for confirmation NoSuchAgency. I found a company that provide 50mbps encrypted VPN for $15/mo so I will give that a go with my server and see how I go.

Do you mind sharing the host that monitors your traffic so that other xrumer users can avoid it?

it sounds like they're using something like snort. snort is an intrusion detection system. it monitors traffic for patterns that are potential attacks, a bot spamming would trigger it pretty quickly.

if you can figure out what specifically triggers it I.E. spam complaints or the speed of the blasts. it could even been switching between proxies. you can try to get around it.

I agree you have to figure out whats specially is triggering the filters. It could be that they see mtrg traffic logs just sky rocketing randomly and they think you are part of a bot network

Could you use free VPN's to get different I.P.s for Xrumer runs?

I would like to know more information about VPN's as well.

I am lately pushing really hard on my ISP provider nerves, so some protection would be great.

why waste all the time and resources? just go to a bullet proof host and forget the rest concentrate on only using xrumer..The data cannot be encrypted without slowing and using up more resources than you are using now
