Xrumer Strategy

So I was thinking in an effort to get more backlinks to stick I was thinking about simply doing this. Using register only mode to register an account, and fillout the profile page with my homepage URL. plus for all the interests, etc section fillit out with keywords related to my site. That way the profile page has keywords related to what im targetting since you cant add anchor text.

Would that work at all as far as ranking go? I was thinking this simply because the chance of those links sticking is probably considerably higher.

Thoughts?

Oh also too, I was thinking I could just make generic introduction posts.. and hide my URL in a smily like this **click smiley**---> http://www.google.com

At least I have seen many peoples who does just like you say so I think it should help in ranking, but I haven't tested it by my self so I can't be 100% sure.
