uhhhhhh really? I think that would be a waste of time. Do it right. Get a server. 
You can find a cheap linsux based VPS , install vmware server (free) and install windoze XP on it. Then install xrumer and bam, a cheap windoze server.. Most server places add on 20-30$/mo for windoze license

Xrumer is now $520. It is recommended not use xumer on a VPS (Xrumer might be too powerful for a VPS). So you should use it either on your computer or buy a windows server. You can find monthly window servers cheaper at webhostingtalk and digitalpoint forums.

Upload XP ISO.
Install VMware Infrastructure . Download it for free from vmware.com, you just have to create an account.
Connect to VMWare Infrastructure server via web browser on port 8333
Create new VMWare container , configure memory, disk space, etc.
Set that container to boot from the XP ISO you uploaded...
Connect to Console with VMware Infrastructure Web Access web console crap.
Complete xp install.

For running XRUMER on a server you need a dedicated windows server which is about $220 a month. You need unlimited bandwith cause xrumer uses a lot. I got to 200GB Traffic a month with my slow connection I have at home. With a server you could easily get a few terrabytes traffic a month
if you are using it on a dedicated after the first time you run it many boards will ban the whole ip (A+*+*+*) so you will have to change host company each time you run it.

There are also many boards that will not ban you...but you can also use proxies if you really want to post to the boards that do ban you. You can add your own proxies or have xrumer gather some proxies for you.

I have noticed that a lot of people report making $xxx's a day.
At the same time I see posts where people complain that server charges are high or some tools are expensive. For example I have noticed few posts where some, I would say experienced marketers (judging by their posts), complain about the price of xrumer.
The tool seems to be one of the best serving this purpose.
If my mathematics are ok how come someone can complain about the price of this or similar tool if you make few hundred$ a day?
Probably most people are falsely reporting their daily incomes for some reason or
there is something that I don't know or understand here.
I would be grateful if someone could shed some light on this one.

But xrumer is a tool I consider worth every penny, still you need to learn the tool.

100mbit dedicated line, and each machine handles about 200 links / minute.
So it is not slow for me.
Never measured how much traffic it uses as we don't have quotas here in Sweden on our internet.

But you can change a setting in the hidden settings that checks each post, that way it goes slower but you know 100% if yes or no.
And the success rate is totally depending on the forum list.
It can be as low as 6% or as high as 30% in my experience.
But you got to think how long time it would take you to do this manually, even if you would get 6% success.
