Hey All,

Quick question for you Xrumer pros. I have Xrumer running from a computer here at my office. Here are the stats:

Windows XP Pro
AMD Sempron 3200 1.80 GHz
2 GB RAM

No other software is installed on this machine. I did a clean in stall of Windows XP Pro before installing Xrummer, Hrefer, and Google Chrome plus Windows patches. I have it sitting on a cable modem for Internet. Just did a speed test and the download is 8.9 mbps and upload is 3.7 mbps.

Right now I can push out about 120 links a minute on 70 threads. No benefit from increasing above 70 threads in terms of links per minute.

Do you guys believe this is a hardware issue fixed by upgrading the memory or a bandwidth issue?

if you don't have CPU or memory maxed out (check task manager) than this is a bandwidth.

9mbs is not a lot

IMHO there is a problem with hardware. Sempron and 2gb ram is not a world record ;)

Agreed the hardware is a little on the light side Nsb_pl.

My thought was, if the bandwidth was the bottle neck, then looking for a hardware solution wouldn't help at all. But if the consensus was that I had plenty of bandwidth, then I could look into a quick fix like additional memory until I can just buy a new server all together.

Hardware is very important and good (STABLE) bandwidth.

The next issue is, you may have good bandwidth and run into a DNS query issue. Some ISPs put a cap on the amount of queries that can be made in a given amount of time.

Also, in reference to your internet speed. Xrumer uses more download speed than upload. Get like a 20 Meg download pipe for your office.

From a security standpoint, be sure you know what you are doing or you can leak out your IP for your office and can get DDOSed by someone.

There are other factors that come into play besdies bandwidth and hardware.

Are you using proxies?
Is your connection being shared?
Where is your location? A high ping to web servers can slow things down.
