Do you think that there is a high risk to really get problems with the law if you use xrumer?

Example: I want to use the xrumer service that is offered in this forum. I want to let post my Domains into forums. On these domains there are links to affiliate programs. So it's easy to identify me via the affiliate provider.

What may happen? What do you think? Is there a high risk?

First of all, you pretty much never want to use Xrumer to promote your actual money making domains.

Think of it this way: The domain(s) that you promote using Xrumer are like the front line soldiers in a war. They do the dirty work, but they also tend to die (in this case, get slapped by the search engines) very quickly.

So, basically, you use Xrumer to promote some throwaway domains, which in turn promote your primary domains.

Will you get in legal trouble? Well, I am not a lawyer, and laws can change, but as long as your Xrumer campaigns are not obscene, or seriously fraudulent on their face, I seriously doubt it. You will be violating various terms of service, which might get various accounts banned, etc., but that's about it. There is a member here, UnixCommerce, who has posted a bunch of videos about using Xrumer, you might want to watch some of those to get one perspective on how to use it.

Best of luck in your campaigns!

thanks for the answer. i use throwaway domains anyway.

thanks for your opinion about legal trouble.

another opinions?

good explanation matt.

Thanks for the tips, I am considering purchasing XRumer but I dont like the idea of having to pay that fee EVERY month! I wouldnt mind if it was a one off

OK, I had my legal advisor; the Retired Judge, hereinafter referred to as the "Fat Fucker", opine on your questions regarding the legality of Xrumer.

His reply to my inquiry was chock full of florid legalese but boiled down to this:

Fat Fucker says:

"Xrumer violates no laws and its use is 100% legal!":)

As long as you don't promote anything illegal you should be just fine.

I second fat fuckers motion. There is no law for Search engine spam that i know if crimanally illegal. Motion ajurned.
