Just think of it this way, how many times have you seen someone on a forum trying to spam their get a free ipod link?

This is no difference to that but on a mass scale but as most forums are not connected to each other they will probably think you are just some kid trying to get people to sign up to something and ban you. I cannot see any forum owner taking civil action against you for one spam message. PS. CLICK HERE to get a free ipod

Interesting thread. I think you just need to use more proxies. Also, how many posts were you making? Did you clean your list?

I wouldn't worry about this. I'd just use Elite Proxies. Also, there's ways to use Xrumer without make it apparent that you are spam someones forum. I'd suggest you go that direction. Links stay up a lot longer!

Forum spam is not illegal, just like spamming craigslist is not illegal, but like many of my friends that spammed craigslist now know even thought it is not illegal they are still getting sued for it.

The key to spamming is not doing anything that is actually illegal, and making it challenging to find you after the fact. The spam nazi's can scream all they want but if you didn't break the law the worst that can happen is you are going to get sued, more than likely though you will get a cease and desist before the lawsuit.

One of my forums is an xrumer honeypot. I use it to keep abreast of the latest techniques that may be working for the people using it. If I see something original, I try it myself.
Xrumer's slogan should be, "If all you have is a hammer then everything looks like a nail."
