Let me ask why I often hear that XMR is a private coin, everyone?,Just like the crypto market, people often say that the underground world often uses it for payment, so how can we say that crypto is highly anonymous?

Well, unlike bitcoin or ethereum, where transactions are pretty transparent, Monero is designed to be anonymous by default. It uses stuff like ring signatures, stealth addresses, and confidential transactions to hide who’s sending, receiving, and how much. So yeah, it’s way harder to trace compared to other cryptos. But here’s the thing, when people say “crypto is anonymous,” they’re usually oversimplifying. Most cryptos aren’t truly anonymous; they’re pseudonymous. Like, with bitcoin, you can’t immediately tell who owns a wallet, but if someone connects the dots (like linking a wallet to an exchange account), your identity can be exposed. That’s why the “underground world” prefers Monero, it’s way harder to trace.

That said, no crypto is 100% anonymous. If you’re not careful, even Monero can have vulnerabilities. So, while Monero is definitely the king of privacy coins, calling all crypto “highly anonymous” is a stretch. It really depends on the coin and how you use it. Just remember, anonymity isn’t magic, it’s just a tool, and you’ve gotta use it right.

I don't know any way to trace a XMR transaction. Enlighten me please.

I also like Zcash (ZEC) for the same reasons.

Monero is probably the best out there for privacy. It hides the sender, receiver, and amount by default, unlike BTC or ETH where everything’s on the blockchain. If you're serious about staying anonymous, use it along with tools like a VPN or Tor. Also, check out wallets like Cake Wallet — easy to use and keeps your info private

There's no way to track XMR transactions; it doesn't mean that it used only by underground actors. There's ppl who want to have a privacy when to transact onchain and these are often normal ppl without any ties to underground activity

reddit went nuts about how Monero's anonymity beats everything
