xml sitemap submission?

I've been using a free tool with hostgator that creates an xml sitemap, then submits it to google, yahoo, and bing. I'm letting hostgator go......

I see there is way to do this in google webmaster tools, for google. How do you quickly submit your xml to the all of the other search engines?

This is a little hard to search for... any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure how many search engines you are looking to submit a sitemap too but I just do it manually to some of the major ones. If you are looking for a tool to do it for you, you could try this,

i usually submit through Google WMT and Bing WMT.. the rest usually takes care of itself. mosts sites have a script to generate the sitemap automatically.

I can develop a bots for you in case you're intrested, made some time ago an xml sitemap submitter to google webmaster tools for a client and he was very happy about it .

I'm still getting traffic from bing, yahoo, and even ask.com. It's not the MAJORITY obviously, but I've got so many blogs now, it's becoming a huge pain to manually submit each one too the search engines. I noticed I'm not ranking at all on my current project in bing or yahoo. Which is odd. I do on page SEO, update the ping list, then do the xml sitemap submission.

The tool in hostgator was attracta. It looks like they had their own crawl bots that created the sitemap, and submitted it for you to google yahoo, and bing. It would submit to EVERY search engine for a little extra per month. I've been paying for that, it was like 100 dollars a year for all of the domains on the hostgator account.

Now that I've been using webmaster tools, I wonder how they did this without verifying ownership of the site?
Now that I think about it... it makes me wonder how they could be stopped from doing this in a negative way, if so inclined.
