Hi I wondered if someone could help me here, Im kinda stuck, and I cant figure out whats wrong. Ive got the xml sitemap plugin for my wordpress blog, ive installed it and activated it, and when I go to my google webmaster tools, click on my domain name and then site map it says there is no site map. So I went to my xml sitemap plugin on wordpress, and checked for errors, and found this.

Errors, Warnings, Notices

Notice: WP HTTP API Web Request failed: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received in /home/sonobby1/public_html/mydominname.net/wp-content/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/sitemap-core.php on line 2364

Notice: Failed to ping Ask.com: in /home/sonobby1/public_html/mydomainname.net/wp-content/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/sitemap-core.php on line 2198

MySQL Queries

Please edit wp-db.inc.php in wp-includes and set SAVEQUERIES to true if you want to see the queries.

After that it shows a build process list.

At first I thought it had something to do with file permissions, so I checked a domain thats working ok, checked the file permissions for that, then I went back to this domain name, and it has the same settings, so it cant be that. Im really stuck on this and I just cant figure it out, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Si

Someone please help, its doing my head in

First of all, in Google Webmaster tools panel you have to add your sitemap manually. if I remember it right on the left there is an option under Sitemap configuration.
Then go into your hosting account control panel and manually create two files under directly in the root path of your blog. In your case:
Code:
/home/sonobby1/public_html/mydominname.net/
The files are: sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz. Next check the permissions are all ok. This should work.

As for the first error messages. Is there by chance you have a huge amount of content? If so try to increase the server limits.

The second error message is not so important (to my opinion). I get it all the times. Just try to manually ping your sitemap to Ask.

The third one: Have you enabled MySQL queries on the plugin panel? If so and if you have huge content on your blog I would advise to disable it because it can kill your server.
