Are there any tools that assist in making a xml sitemap? I found one online but it only does up to 500 pages...I need a solution for unlimited pages.

Any kind of help would be GREAT! I need to make one ASAP

Thanks - I saw that...but I think those are hosted on their server...I need a solution that will be hosted on my server...I just don't trust my website data with a company like that. I would just feel more comfortable having 100% control.

    I use XML-site apps.com
It cost $20 or so one off payment, then you can host on your server, it creates site map and pings google, notifies you of dead links and so on. It's very good.

Yeah I just got one for $19.99 from xml-sitemaps.com - question - I am loading it now and they ask to create a blank xml file - what program on a mac would I use to do that? Sorry - I am a tech noob - my webguy went home for the day. Trying to teach myself a bit :)

Hmm I don't really know macs! Is there like a text editor? That's all you need, make new document and save it, but when you get asked for file type, choose all files or something, then call it "sitemap.xml"

Tried saving it in quotes - like this:
    "Sitemap.xml"

On windows, quotes overwrite the default file extension.

Tried and it just names it "sitemap.xml" - google doesn't pull up anything really helpful either...I'm sure it is very simple...just can't figure it out

I use Xenu Link Sleuth, It's a free software. You can also use scrapebox.
