Personally, I don't like anything Elon Musk does. We might understand this in the next 10 years. He bought X because in the future, human messaging will train artificial intelligence.

“Bitcoin-level encryption” sounds good, but people will care more about privacy, stability, and whether their friends actually use it long term.

'bitcoin level encryption' is not a meaningful technical standard for messaging security... bitcoin is a decentralized ledger protocol not a benchmark for encrypted communication.

Tried it a bit, feels pretty basic for now honestly. Not sure about all the “Bitcoin-level encryption” marketing yet lol. Need more time to see how private it really is. But if Elon pushes it hard inside X, it’ll probably get massive users anyway.
