I find this point very confusing. It seems that when I share a photo or video article on X and attach a link to the website, the interaction of that article is squeezed. I wonder if there is any effective SEO method?

yeah x limits reach on posts with external links they want to keep users on the platform best way around it is cloaking the link using a shortener or using a call to action like “check first reply” and put your link there you can also build engagement first with a post then edit later to add the link but be careful with this method too much editing can hurt visibility

“check first reply” and put your link there you can also build engagement first with a post
Does that mean we should put the link below the description?

  • Post Valuable Content First – Share insights, images, or videos without a link to maximize reach.
  • Drop Links in Comments – Post the website link as a reply to your own tweet.
  • Use Natural Engagement – Ask a question or spark discussion before mentioning the link.
  • Leverage Twitter Cards – Ensure your website has Open Graph meta tags for better previews.
  • Make It a Thread – Share key takeaways first, then include the link in the last tweet.
  • Encourage Retweets – More engagement signals to X that your content is valuable.
  • Create Twitter-Exclusive Content – Tease exclusive insights and direct users to your site for more.

A good workaround is to share the link in the comments or turn it into a compelling thread to boost engagement.

Enhance SEO by optimizing on-site content and metadata, using social media to drive genuine engagement without direct links, and building high-quality external links to boost credibility.

That's a very common observation. The X algorithm, like many other social platforms, is designed to keep users on its site, so it often reduces the reach of posts that contain external links. There's no "SEO" fix on the platform itself, as it's an algorithm preference, not a technical SEO issue.
The best strategy is to avoid putting the link directly in the main post. Instead, share your photo or video, and then put the link in the first comment as a reply to your own post. You can also create a compelling thread that leads to a link at the end. This method allows the post to gain initial momentum without the algorithm's suppression, leading to higher overall engagement and clicks.
