Does Google count differently the anchors pointed at the 2 different versions of the site?
Initially, I've built all the links to the non-www version, then I changed to www and the 4-5 links i've built since are exact or partial match. This leaves me with a decent profile on the non-www version, but with outrageous overoptimization on the www version (50% keyword anchors).
If I start to dilute the anchors will the site come back?

I assume you have the non www links redirected to the www subdomain. In which case all the anchors will count.

In my opinon, every link will be counted twice if you placed a non www and a www version at the same place. Google is smart enough to know the difference between the www and non-www versions, admittedly. It won't make a difference if you linked www, or non-www.. they all will be counted as your links. Now, let a guru come and prove me wrong lol :P
