I'm running WP 2.9.1 with all n 1 SEO and a few other plugins. I just noticed that even though I have the plugin properly set for title and description, Google has some weird ass text - I can't even FIND the text it's using for my title - and NO description. WTF?

I've looked in the page source and don't see what G is indexing. Has anyone else had this? Could it be my theme f'n it up?

    Any ideas?

No just wait , Google will crawl your website and fix this issue . usually it dosn't take more than a week.

According to my logs, G crawled my site today. It's STILL showing no update to my title and description. This is after making sure I'm public, changing my theme, checking my robots.txt and manually checking what my title and desc say.

is there anything else I could be missing?

I think we have to talk to fantastico developers about the default settings for privacy to make the blog public by default.
