Wtf is wrong with PayPal

Haven’t faced the exact situation but what I do know is that communicating with PayPal customer service is like repeatedly head butting a wall whilst trying to sip a hot cup of tea slowly and eating a sugary donut without licking your lips.

Sounds like 2checkout is your best bet.
Oh yes, by far the worst customer serivce I ever seen from an International company.

1 weeks correspondence, only one reply per day and every time it was a new agent. And none of them were reading the conversation I had with their colleagues.

Absolute chaos.

I thought I had seen bad customer service before, but this experience was a new type of low that I didn't think existed. After 6-7 days I wrote a long message about how I understand that their processes are messed up, that Paypal pay them too little - but I would appreciate if someone could just read my initial question and the following conversation with Paypal agents. Then, one lady were able to answer my question with two lines. So simple. After 7 days of struggle.

"I can't open any new account"
Are you new on the internet or something? They told me im banned like 12 times lul.. ip ban mac bans even named and street bans..
But the more paypal gets, the easier it gets to 'hack' them..

I'm reading this with some anxiety now. The rules mention adult oriented or sexual items, and one of my soon to be built sites is that. Guess I better check out the other payment services mentioned , pretty soon. Really discouraging to hear about your problem with them. A friend of mine, recently got an Ebay suspension. Even though the supposedly Ebay and Paypal are separate companies, in reality they are most likely not. Neither of them are at all are safe to trust your business in. As mentioned in OP. Sometimes the customer service sucks, and always the buyer is right. Hard to believe that the ones that pirated your software are using Paypal. Things are messed up. I think I read about Stripe a month ago. The service looked good, and better for seller. than the way seller is treated on Ebay and Paypal.

Stipe/PayPal all fell from the same tree. Most merchant acquires don't like high risk business like adult, pharma, gaming (sports books/poker) due to the high number of charge backs. This is why high risk processors normally charge more. Interesting side note is that a large amount of payments innovation has come from these types of merchants as they have had to be at the for front of cyber crime. There are a couple of serious players left in the space and then there are sharks just looking to make quick buck. Under most card schemes rules the buyer is always considered right as it is easier to charge the merchant as they require the service. Customers merely ride the rails so to speak.

Were you able to fix the problem?

Might have to look into high risk merchant processors - could be your last bet

I'm rethinking the products I listed on my site.
If I get a chargeback right at the beginning, then I'm done.

I just got a couple of sales, that gave me a little bit of operating money.
Not much breathing room, more like the scene in KillBill 2 where she's in the coffin.

Product selection particularly when it comes to PayPal is critical. If you are looking to run products that are how can we say not on the normal friendly watch list. Then you are likely to run into some problems. Be aware that with PayPal if they discover you are running or fronting products which are on their prohibited list they will not only cut you off but keep any funds that you have in the account.

You don't need high risk processing for this. Guys, each processing platform has approved and forbidden business types. Right now I can write business in cannabis and cbd but not gym shoes online. It's what my sponsor bank agrees to. Cannabis card present and cbd ecommerce. PayPal is enormous. Stripe same thing. They'll approve accounts and during quarterly audits discover forbidden biz types and terminate accounts. High risk falls into age restricted goods or goods n services frequented mostly by lower class and "felonious" demographics. Industries prone to high charge backs are high risk. Furniture is high risk. Payments are transferred before goods are manufactured. 6 week delivery time. Charge back city. The PGS credit score matters. Processing history matters. Never go with a "high risk processor" as they'll all say you're high risk so they can flat rate you at 7% rather than cost over interchange 0.5%. Anyone with issues in payments or gateways or merchant accounts or Visa MC accounts or you think you're being raped on fees, email me and I'll offer you my professional advice.

Are we allowed to exchange email addresses on here? I have the answer to this problem

I'm sorry but I have been processing for a LONG time and the fact you openly say your "sponsor bank" which isn't every the correct terminology leaves me asking a lot questions. Whilst you comments about PayPal and the audits are spot on to say you can charge 50bp over interchange but you can not get a online gym shoe account or that furniture is high risk is a little off base. Visa and MasterCard both have Cannabis and CBD on the their prohibited lists give that it is illegal in 90% of the planet.
The simple answer where PayPal is concerned is don't process adult or such categories on their service.
If you have had your PayPal account switched off you have very little chance of getting it back due to PayPal being the merchant of record and there for held accountable by Visa and MasterCard for transactions the fall under the prohibited products list.
Whilst there are solutions and ways to process high risk and not all of them but yes agreed a good number are 7% plus, there is a reason they attract these large fees. Mostly due to the charge back risks the other reasons are often because there are a few hands in the cookie tin trying to make clip on the ticket.

A sked support at a big porn site, what payment service are they using.
Guess what ? Paxum, wire, and Paypal. And they have hardcore porn.
Big money vs small guy. Paypal bends the rules, no surprise.

Use private messaging, or better yet, post openly to add value to the thread, unless what you're offering is scam.

Hey,

Today's my 1st day even knowing this site exists not to mention the 1st time I've ever stumbled on a forum and actually registered and left comments..
This 1 character starts laying into me like trying to measure swords or something with matters concerning high risk processing and man I'm just amazed how quickly the reason I always strayed from this happened. Fukn 3 min of being registered Bam!

Yea Ace I'm telling you I personally cannot place a dba in mainstream business. Shoes. It's 10 bps over interchange. What's interchange on PayPals new Mastercard. Can u use that at a restaurant? Did you happen to hear of their latest venture? Ooooh crap yep they are now a processor. Like Tsys. First Data.

Ace how many different platforms does FD have? What does it all mean?

Ever woken up every morning butt crack fukn dawn to bang the phone to banks in Mauritius looking for a sponsor bank, acquirer, acquiring institution, funding partner, funding bank, umm wait here.. the bank. The folks giving the money for the transaction. Those get grouped and "settled" into batches that "process" from your "gateway" which is plugged into you're an idiot.

I don't care how much you know. Being proud of merchant services is like your mom's Inmate of the Month bumper sticker from your deuce you served a ways back. I saw Shopify being used by so many ppl and ecommerce is my living. I know what I know due to being a payments provider. Pioneering team that took the ecig /vape vertical mainstream with Deutsche Bank NY and MeritCard and Adept Payments. Lucky break, the owner of 1 of em was a friend. I was a 16yr roofer outta work on injury n he offered me inside sales. Less than a year later cashed in and left to pursue CBD and dispensaries with Fortress Payment Technologies. Did you know they had up until a week ago the only legitimate mainstream domestic 110% above board legit legal etc etc processing solution for cbd ecommerce and got it bcuz they were already processing for wait for it
Dispensaries and delivery services.
Cbd was brought on when he decided to take on a new remote sales guy base+. That guy ended up not only suggesting it be done but actually wrote the language that was used to sign "exclusivity" with their SPONSOR fukn bank Jack and continued onto generate the entire 6 page MPA [merchant processing Application] from 20% scratch.

Yep.

So buzz off anyone that wants to get all competitive and throw mud. I known what I know. If I don't know, I don't act like I do. I don't act like I know without knowing for sure.

Can anone honestly with good points say Magento or Woo Commerce aren't better than Shopify?

Do you hear alllllllll these ?s about Stripe and Paypal and getting shut down and high risk and these gigantic payfacs or high risk MSPs. Don't go there.
But go ahead bcuz Timmy the Tugboat over here says. He knows better than me. Why dude. Why be a divk? I have solid information. A wealth of inside type of information. I know. You should see who's lifes are easier bcuz they're in my book.

I'm not here to get business. I process cbd and mmj and Kratom and anything nutraceutical or research chem. 7 figures Amv.

Please I just want to interject and help when I think I can. Id never do it in malice to a bunch of strangers I share arenas with as I EARN A LIVING.

Goddamn what's up with my country these days. You guys gotta either stop while ur ahead or start taking the ass whooping n quit calling the cops every time someone updates their status and didn't mention your bitch ass.

I'm happy to help if I can.

Lmk

So I didn't reply til just now. Thanks for reading.

Actually not always

These guys troll Craigslist and other sites advertising cash gigs and conning ppl to open merchant accounts, PayPal, stripe, squarespace etc for a residual commission as long as it stays live. They mask the biz type and keep all filings away from the true dba. Adult porn is sewn up by 2 major payment providers, anyone using anthing else is just sleeping. Adult novelty is easier because its goods being delivered and various delivery terms help lower risk. The risk thing as a whole is made up for the most part. There's not like a visa mc approved list of high risk vs mainstream. These banks say so. Or the processor. Or the ISO. Or the deadbeat sales rep in his mom's basement smoking drugs and selling you offshore high risk bcuz u wanna sell a dildo or some software or whatever. There's not nearly enough focus and astringency in the payments industry. It's wild. I love it but I love shady shit. Tell me anabolics can't accept Visa and I figure out a closed loop gift card system. Visa thought the site was selling ecards. Epic

Once you go offshore u better know and vet and trust ur outfit or be ready to lose money and experience downtime when u get shut down. Happens no matter what. My gateway actually gps tracks visa and mc secret shoppers and stores their coordinates n blocks all ip addresses from that location. Lol Scarface of gateways

Paypal is so far so good for me bro, maybe You should ask them and bargain about it

How does PayPal knows which one is your website? Also how do they know what product you sold?

You can just put a different description...

Just in your free time lol like that exists but start looking into Merchant Service Providers and dont pay attention to what they specialize in bcuz 97% of the time they treat account

They have software that traces the transactions through the back end and a team that scrubs accounts. Secret shoppers essentially. It takes accounts that arent approved by PayPal an avg of 6 to 9mos to get shut down. 4 usually and seen as long as 6yrs.
