WTF IS THIS ERROR??

I was just trying to create an account and I got this error:

The IP address you are using has been flagged as an open proxy. If you believe this to be incorrect, please visit https://help.instagram.com/

Does anybody know how to fix this? scamalytics says the ip is fine, i'm using residential proxys

Systems, algo’s and others detect the use of proxies and VPNs easily. They are services that are offered online and it is clear that IPs (even residential) can be flagged.

Try to use your own IP, from your local. The most you can get is shadowban and it is not something that is not impossible to remove, just keep the constancy in the posts and always use it correctly as human activity and not bots.

And this is the issue, when using a service on the internet the first thing that will jump is security, avoiding and blocking access if you are a bot, and if you come with an IP of a proxy, they will block you quickly because that is exactly what a bot would do.
 
I was getting the exact same error some days ago trying to do the same thing. My proxy was a solid mobile proxy. Turned out the emails I was using to register the IG accounts were the determining factor. Used some stronger emails and the errors disappeared.
 
This error usually pops up when Instagram detects you're using a public or flagged proxy. Suggestion: switch to a residential or private mobile proxy, and avoid shared IPs or outdated tools that are more likely to get flagged.
 
In some cases, a residential proxy can be rented to multiple users at once. That being said, it seems as if the previous person using the proxy may have got it flagged. In this case, look into a 4g rotating proxy and the account should be fine.
 
Switch to a clean mobile or private residential proxy, clear cookies, and create the account on that fresh IP. This removes the open proxy block.
 
They flagged your proxy for spam or multi-accounting. Try again with a new proxy. If the issue persists, then it could be a technical glitch or your proxy server is not good for IG.

This is still from the very beginning of Instagram. Nowadays they usually just ghost you in case your IP is suspicious.
If you still get this message, your IP is complete garbage and you should never use it.
 
There is no other meaning than you IP has been flagged truly, it might be from the previous user

Are you using your own home IP or same proxy ?
