WTF? is it THAT easy???

i noticed lately on youtube, too many videos with adsense adv just before they start (you know , where it says 5 more seconds until u can skip the adv). The weird thing is that a lot of this videos are full movies and also songs. Of course they will have huge amount of visitors.

What i would like to ask you - if you know - is how is it possible for a full movie video to be online for years on youtube, how is it possible for adsense to allow that, and also how it is possible that people get to monetize videos with copywrite music in them!!!

Normally copyrighted materials don't show ads. If they do, all it takes is a complaint by the copyright owner to get them taken down.

Older movies get a break, because their watchdogs are typically looking for recent material to take down.

i guess this is big danger to loose your adsense account. just a question of time ....
 
i agree, but untill then they are making money from nothing... im thinking maybe get a second adsense acount on my girlfriends name... hm...

Like W9go said, they may cash in for a while but soon they'll be gone. If you want a long term project you gotta stay away from copyright issues.
 
Or the copyright owner places the ads themselves so they make all the ad revenue. Unlikely for full movies, but probable for music videos/music
 
Sounds risky. But it might be like when you upload a song, it shoes its purchase info below the video. Instaed mays the adds are for going to someone else other than the up loader.
 
most of the cases of using copyrighted music, you may see ads on a video but in fact the video uploader does not make a cent, simply because copyright owner monetized the video, if you try to download the video and upload the exact video again then you will get what i mean :)
