If you do a g**gle search for: personal path to pregnancy, and go to the third page of search results, my sq*idoo lens is the 7th listing.

As you can see, the description says:
Announcing a brand new, cover-to-cover revision of America's pregnancy bible. .... As the title of the book suggests, it's "personal. ...

The only place on my lens that says: Announcing a brand new, cover-to-cover revision of America's pregnancy bible. .... is in a link description to a product on Amaz*n.

That's also not what the meta description tags says either.

Two days ago, this page was ranked 5th overall for the same keyword, now it's 27th!! And the description is completely different!

How can I change that without getting rid of the Amaz*n links?

My SERPS have been up and down all weekend. I'm not sure what the G is doing.

The problem you are describing comes from their annoying snippet function. If you can add a meta tag to your page, add this to kill that feature:
<META NAME="GOOGLEBOT" CONTENT="NOSNIPPET">

It's a Google Specific meta tag which says "Use my meta description, not a snippet that your algorithm thinks is relevant to the query"

There are also flags for "Don't use my DMOZ Listing Description" in Google, and "Don't use my Yahoo Directory Listing Description" for Yahoo.

My serps have been bouncing around too, I was #3 for my keyword for like 30 minutes, then back to #13

That could just be data center geolocation. They have several data centers serving results, and they aren't always in perfect sync.
