And i have to enjoy watching the alligator dancing ... when i am expecting the quick online chat support :D

Reseller and VPS's seem to be fine. I try to stay away from shared, no matter what company it's under. I also like hostwinds but nothing seems to be wrong for me with HG.

my reseller account with HG was hit and miss this morning and of course slow, and everything is still going slow. I had a couple sites up and a couple down and logging into the back end whmcs panel was brutally slow. unfortunately it seems like its time to move since they have not looked at the ticket I opened this morning about 4 hours ago asking about whats going on. I like how I have everything set up so its just a matter of moving but grr so much work. as soon as my email to another provider comes back with good answers I might have just killed my weekend.

I hate such kind of support.
I prefer to open and ticket and wait for there response.
But truly HG services have gone worse on shared hosting .Not sure about the other.
I moved to servinio and arvixe .

In their defence they used to be good a couple of years back, and their support is very good.

Looks like they get more and more ridiculous.

They do some weird things but are great at compensation if you know how to ask right. I got a month free hosting on ALL my accounts with them after a week of requesting it. That saved me 4 figures. I will be moving from them eventually just not any time soon

No doubt on that !! Sometimes it takes days to get a response from them

Okay, I shall find a new webhost for my new SEO/website projects.

The current websites that I'm currently hosting in hostgator are pretty useless for the time being. More like "mirrors". So speed and such doesn't matter.
What I was pissed is their CPanel is down with some licensing issue. I opened a ticket. Took me nearly 30 minutes to wait for an operator to connect to me.
Worst is, the operator didn't even apologize or say something to sooth me down. Instead, when I posted my question again... no reply was made until 5 mins later. By the time the operator replied me, the CPanel has miraculously been solved. And yeap, no apologies or anything.

But I can tell you guys something. Hostmonster is the WORST. My website had some malware which causes users to redirect to other websites. I couldn't find a way to solve it.
Created a ticket, made me wait 45 mins. Yes 45 fucking minutes. When I was connected, I told the support team what happened. The tech support guy deny seeing any errors or redirects. I told him to check again. I checked myself and even used U.S proxies and my VPS to access my sites... the redirect malware was indeed still there. The tech support guy again denied seeing any problems. I kept asking him to investigate and he suddenly told me, "Hi, we have a very strict time for lunch breaks and reporting time. It's my lunch break now so I will redirect you to someone else. Thanks!"

Made me wait another fucking 10 minutes. This time I just rant and scolded their support. The new tech guy threaten to disconnect me if I continue ranting. I Was like DAFUG!
I calmed down and ask for solution and they told me to pay several hundred dollars for some 3rd party service to fix it. I asked if Hostmonster can do any temporary solution or whatsoever as I've been using them for nearly 5 years. They just say ,"Nope. You have to contact our 3rd party companies to fix your problems. Hostmonster isn't responsible for anything."

Wow, talk about pissed.

Anyone knows other good webhost other than hostwinds?

So many people have and can vouch for HG. I am on a baby plan, and will be hosting about 2-3 websites. I don't see what can go wrong if you backup your information and have minimal domain use..?
I just bought it so I haven't really experienced much with them; but their customer support has been great to me.

It seems that the shared plan is "slow". What do you guys mean by that? And is the baby plan on a shared?

soulow
icn.bg sell personal data that's for sure ! They sell your email to local motherf*ckers and they spam you to death. My exp shared with many others.
