The thread title is confusing... coz am confused....
Here is my SEO adventure.

1.)Found a great keyword.
2.) Bought two domains: keyword.net and thekeyword.com
3.) Decided to use thekeyword.com... elegant seo frndly site design, unique articles... 30+ 500-word articles on the site....
4.) Worked my ass of for 3 months, managing to reach position #13.

NOW, I was checking rankings and to my surprise.... keyword.net ranks #12 with no content... no backlinks nothing....

Here is keyword.net looks like:


WTF? This is so confusing... I am unable to come up with any logical reason for this....

lolz I just purchased bunch of domains many of them are on 1st page with no back links

actually no hard competition is the case in my openion

No hard competition would be a good explanation... but not in my case....
am just curious why this happened. If there is some logic behind this... maybe I will try to rank for "buy viagara" now if all it takes is a domain to gain ranks. lol

Add a few articles, build some links and you will have 2 sites on page one . Probably websites on page two for this keyword are not optimized and you got no ads on this one. Google wants altruistic websites which exist only to help others .

The other one has no ads or external links either.

No the feeling Bro it sucks no matter why it sucks no way all those articles and content not to be above the other, and WTF you got to have some monetisation or why bother, seems to me google justs wants big advertisers and PPC even there own adsense is not enough for the greedy shits who are making sure only corporate rules the internet big brother is google and big brother is bad brother.

Doing some keyword research i found different wesbite with no content ranking in the top of first page with no content ,nothing but joomla installed!

My real world business I see this all the time..

I have my competitors pissed off angry at me that I am taking #1 spots and business away from them 24.7 and the sites that are right below me have nothing going for them. If they just bought a domain and put up a 1 page site they would rank.. I'm not telling them.

Yep - Let this be a lesson to everyone who thinks they need 500+ words on each page to rank. Also, let the website be indexed and rank on its own before you start any link building. 5-10 bookmarks should get you in the top 50 if you did your KW research properly. You just have to wait a week or two.

You added the 30 articles bit too soon. If you had let thekeyword.com let be, it would have naturally gained a good position and then adding of articles would have resulted in higher search positions.
