Are they on some sort of page rampage? I just had 20+ business, yes business website FB pages shut down in 24 hours. Along with a tons on silly generic pages which don't bother me too much as those are not business related. I don't know whats going on but I don't think i'm going to invest any time and money into FB anymore when this happens. Toda:eek:y has cost me a lot of money in online spending promoting my FB pages. It's obvious this is automated as most pages have not had any activity for months. Next social media site please...

I'm surprised about the business pages...that's not good. I lost two pages today. it's automated so I try not to take it personal, but i agree we need another social site to kick fb's teeth in. they grew too big too fast...let's see if google can help even the playing field.

How?...what are you guys doing with these pages to make facebook shut it down?...inviting too many pple all at once,,?

Thing is many of the pages that were shut down didn't have any activity. I even had some business pages (page title was a domain) with no fans (just setup) that was shut down. So I'm forced to remove the fan boxes, open graph, connect tools from my sites now.

facebook is deleting stuff like crazy these days

I lost a page with 3 million fans with no warning. I'm gonna stop using it probably..

I tried to set up a 'fan page' recently, and it kept redirecting me to a page that suggested that I pay for advertising. Perhaps they are taking the next step and charging people to have business and fan pages?

Fan pages have become a scam-paradise.
We know it.
FB knows it.
Try to think outside the box. There are ways to making money on here other then thru the fan pages.
I've been messing with sites outside FB reach for a few weeks. idk? is my thinking wrong???

Facebook goes down for business, always happens when people make money with free sites, they dont like it, even if you pay them for the advertise.

I wouldn't mind paying for a business page on FB if they won't just take it away without any prior warning or notice.

BTW what happened to the notifications they used to send out to authenticate a business page? I don't even get them. I also have Open graph specific pages with the like button removed. This is for a large business website that has over 200k visits a day.

I lost a facebook acount i had been building up for a few weeks, it happened yesterday. :(

facebook wants you to spend $ on poor converting ,expensive ads so they delete anything that is commerical
