Anyone else get this sort of email from affiliate networks? I'd really rather not have this on my site "above the fold"

By now you should have seen the network wide update in regards to our best practice framework and incorporating a disclosure badge into your websites. If not please click here to see the announcement.

We have found that domainremoved.com has yet to adopt the badge above the fold.

Due to the seriousness of this requirement, which we are obliged to enforce by law, I will have no choice but to suspend your account should you not have implemented a disclosure policy within the next 7 days.

I ask therefore that you respond confirming you understand this and are in the process of updating your sites.

You may have been emailed the disclosure badge code in a separate email for this site. If not, or if you need to generate the badge for other sites you can do so directly at: http://www.affiliatedisclosure.com/affiliates.php

Above the fold / further reading:

If you are unsure what 'above the fold' means or if you would like to learn more about why we are implementing this process please visit the official announcement here.

You can read all about this process and how to implement the badge in the prescribed manner here:

Yup!.....been told I have to put it on my sites with a certain network by October or they will suspend my account and chuck me off. You can make your own badge as long as it says what the original says...and you have to put your name or trading name into the disclosue! Yeah...Right!

The courts ordered them them to make sure their affiliates made potential customers realise they were on an affiliate site and the website owner will get a commision for sending the customer to the products website. The the badge sends you to a discloure when clicked.

I'm offski.....I don't want any sort of flag waving badge above the fold with my name on it. The Network says it will not put people off your site knowing you're an affiliate!..........They are in cloud cuckoo land......it's bad enough having the big G kicking us in the bolloxs at the moment. The last thing I need is this malarky!

I've only seen it being implemented with one network so far though....just hope it's not a trend.

What network is that? They sure as hell are going to lose a lot of affiliates.

find a new network, then send them an email telling them to go f**k themselves, I already did. You dont need this network, you only think you do, and they think you do. I've told a number to kiss my ass over the years.

That shit is going to drop your conversions big time and you know it.
