Yeah you will. I have a guy who has a deal with some connections through Apple. He buys them through them. Has to give a certain percentage. Now if you are trying to do crazy, then you won't get lucky like that.

For a start up you're going to want 30% or so mark up, with apple products you'll never make more than 5-10%, mainly due to apple making all the money!

Apple has a fixed price on every item, the price wholesale distributors get them for is not even worth buying them unless you're selling millions like Best Buy. Laptops are probably going to be junky Chinese ones with no brand. Find a decent supplier and don't tell anyone who it is.

I have a penny auction affiliate link, wanna try that? lol

Really though.. unless you are going big time don't waste your time, electronics is the most difficult category to get into when it comes to tv's, laptops, etc.. Most likely you will end up losing money.

Not true, with certain items the markup is immense, on a website I use, they sell authentic brand new toshiba laptops for under 350 euro, which can be sold online for a great markup, mainly on ebay or the likes for roughly 450-550 euro, I'm talking about a bog standard i3 processor, 500gb hard drive and 4gb ram, these specs will interest and average user and especially for under 500 euro. When you sell 10 of these a month that could easily supplement your wage packet.

My comments were about the market in the States, if he is in Europe it could be a different story but I know the liquidation business over here quite well. Laptops are super cheap here and liquidation/wholesale prices are high, last time I was in Europe my buddies wanted me to ship them electronics to sell on Ebay because they are so expensive over there.

I still question, if you pay $350 Euro then sell it for $450 how much is really left after ebay fees and shipping? Have you ever tried this or is this just an in theory type reply?

Potentially a great $$$ maker for you there. ;)

Its a theory, ebay is a more well regarded than the sites I'd use which involve no fee's.

I've done the electronics biz for years now and learned that stuff rarely works out. Could be a huge moneymaker shipping stuff to Europe but I am too busy so it isn't worth the effort for me to try right now. Normally when I purchase electronics I buy no less than half a mil USD worth at a time, of course that is the retail value not what I am paying but I'm not paying pocket change either. I have tried every way out there I can think of and there are only a few option that I find to be worth my time.

Half a mil retail value, not cost. You can get 500k worth of TV's for less than 100k, untested of course but I generally get no less than 50% working and I have received up to 80%. I also do parts harvesting and sell to repair shops so I get good value even from the damage. Some stuff like working A/B Quality TV's are still going to cost around 50% of retail, give or take a little but they are going for high dollar as well. I think liquidation dot com is selling TV's by the TL only which is normally a 50-75k investment for 59-61% with similar quality to what I get and their retail prices are inflated. I used to do a lot of other electronics but now cut most of it out aside from TV's and TV Parts as I have a nice wholesale base for those built.
