Wrote a WordPress Commenter, now what?

I got bored this morning and wrote a program that finds WP blogs and then posts to them. It pops in, posts the comments, then continues searching the web for more blogs. A few theoretical points:

- At this point would it be a good idea to implement a comment spinner?
- How many WP blogs are unmoderated? Isn't the default option moderated?
- What does Akismet look for when it determines spam?

Not that I really want to unleash this thing full force on the internet, but these topics really interest me.

I like the idea of ******** or nofollow, but I think most blogs you can't really check if they don't have any comments yet. Plus wouldn't you want your link there anyway for traffic purposes even if it's not spidered?

Right now it can post to about 1000 blogs an hour, but grows to nearly all the system memory in about 3-4 hours.

Will these show up as backlinks even if they're nofollow?

Depending on your programming language and method of posting, you may need to emulate a browser control to handle cookies. The cookies are usually hidden inside javascript that needs to be executed. Otherwise you cant be passed the cookie.

Comment+name+email spinner is a must. Otherwise you will be blocked by akismet almost instantly.

At the end of the day, if you do get blocked by akismet. The main thing stopping you will be your IP. AND also likely your domain.

I had a ******** checker implemented a while back, although its no removed though because it wasnt ideal and most people didnt care. But your right, you have to first check whether there are other comments there, and then check whether their link is nofollow.
