I finally got a new site indexed, but the title is coming up wrong on google results. It's a wordpress site, I left the "site title" field in the settings empty because I don't like how it looks on the site, but I added the title tags in the header.php with the site title I want. When I go to the website, the right title shows up on the tab in firefox, but not in google.

It's a bit weird, because on the google results I see just the first 3 words of the title, and each word is capitalized (I didnt make it that way).

    Anyone know what's going on?

Google must crawl your site again. You just got to wait 10 days or so until its scraped again. If its a popular site, they'll crawl it more often than 10 days. As long as it says what you want at the top of your browser/tab then that'll appear in Google (usually) unless you have some special setup like redirects or something, which I doubt you do.

If it does not change, after all the suggestions above, make sure your title is relevant. Google had changed my title themselves during some KW searches and left it as the one I chose for others, just like the description changes sometimes based off of what Google thinks is best. May not be your case but happened to me for months on end

That's a cached page, you will just need to wait or just ping your page again.

I think it would be better to delete and then make a new index and ping it.
