Wrong page in the serp

Hi,
For several weeks I have a problem with my main keyword.
The page showing up in the serps for my main keyword is another page and kw of this page is: main keyword + localisation
And I want to have the homepage for this keyword.

What's wrong with my site ?

Anyone ever experienced that ?

Make a link from your sub-page with main keyword pointing to the homepage and wait a week or two. If that doesn't help, 301 your sub-page to the homepage.

I've seen this before. There are multiple reasons why something like this might happen. Is your subpage better targeted in terms of content, title tag ? Alternatively, is there even a little bit of the content of the sub-page duplicated on the home page ? My blog sometimes does this where the snippet from a blog post makes the /blog page rank higher than the blog post. Annoying !

In the prior case I'd drop a link to the home page on the sub page-but I'd also study why the sub page is grabbing the organics and perhaps change the home page to address this. In the latter case I'd make sure the page I want to rank has a decent amount of unique content that doesn't show up anywhere else on the site.

This usually happens when you build links to your homepage and it gets sandboxed temporarily and Google replaces it with the next most relevant page of your site until your homepage comes out of the sandbox. Updating the content on your homepage will fix the issue (I have a 100% success rate with this fix). Simply adding a link as others have suggested is unlikely to work.
