Hi. I bought a static Polish ISP proxy from a “proxy-seller” provider. When it comes to “what's my ip” type sites, of course the location shows good. On the other hand, on social media such as instagram/facebook since 2 days it started to show the location in the login sites as “indonesia,pangabuan”, while I did not get the login alerts from the beginning. What could be the cause? Is it the proxy's fault or is instagram failing? Should I be worried about this? I'm looking for good proxy providers for Poland, but often the good ones don't have the location. Greetings and thanks.

Check the ip DNS with multiple checkers. That can be due to DNS leak.
Yes, I checked DNS and there is something about Germans. And the ISP itself is in the Netherlands. And I say, on the browser and everywhere it displays the correct IP that I purchased with this location. But on facebook and instagram it started from one operator showing the location as Indonesia xd. I hope this kind of thing will not appear too often because it will involve working on accounts and then banning because the proxy changes the location.

I would be cautious about this IP. Different sites have different security systems in place.

Ok. I changed the proxy provider. I hope that now after a few days the location will not show another country on social media again. Although I also think that this facebook and instagram is often wrong.

If it shows correct now maybe some technical issue.

Otherwise, If you ask the provider to give those proxies that looks same location to social medias as well then it's better.

It's hard to talk to this artificial intelligence in a chat with a consultant :P He is unlikely to understand what I mean haha.

So you changed the proxy provider & now everything working alright ?;

A single residential IP address is still not enough, because many social media accounts are starting to identify geographic location based on apps, not just IP addresses.

So what do you recommend? I'm having this exact issue

Hey, have you fixed the issue? Mine is showing Bangladesh for some reason and it's driving me crazy.

sounds like a form of ip leaking .

Third-party checkers' geolocation are not usually accurate. On the other hand, if you did not get an alert for the log in, maybe the social media sites are still showing the device's previous location. Clearing caches or checking for location settings on your device can help.

It seems like the proxy might be flagged or misconfigured. I recommend using dedicated residential or mobile proxies for more reliable location accuracy and to avoid issues like this. Testing with a new provider could help resolve the problem.
