Writing A Book About SEO

I love book reading. But, now a days I haven't time to read books. If it is eBook, then I'll be consider. Good luck on your journey

I mess with P A E because I know him IRL. I have known P A E for a hot minute now and even though I have been doing SEO since before there was something called SEO I still go to him for any questions I may have or for various types of advice. If P A E is writing a book on SEO, it is going to be worthwhile. I have yet to know him to do anything halfway.

So far, I do touch on algorithm updates but don't dive too deep into them.

The target audience for this initial book is people who are new to SEO or have a couple of years of experience with it. The glossary might be helpful for anyone in SEO or internet marketing.

I'll definitely look into how to make any case studies valuable.

Slapping 20 years of notes between two covers isn't my goal. I've created what I hope is a simple and intuitive book that guides people through SEO and the industry's key concepts. I've been told I shouldn't share too much of the book before publishing, but I'll probably share a very simplified outline of the chapter design at some point so you and others can get a better sense of the overall flow of the text.

I'm going to release it first as a hardback, then once a certain number of those have sold, I'll release the ebook version, and finally the paperback version. There's a strategic plan for each release.

Here's how I started this project of writing an SEO book using AI.

First, I logged into the free AI website and asked it to create a comprehensive list of SEO topics in learning order. After a bit of tweaking, we settled on eleven chapters. I pasted these into a plain text document. I separated all the chapters and sub-sections into separate plain text documents and copied the prompt I'd use to generate content specific to each chapter title and sub-section. For example, a text file named "chapter-01-section-01.txt" and so on. At this point, I've used AI to help develop the book's outline and created separate text files with unique prompts that I'll use to develop those chapters and sections.

I took the first chapter and section text file, copied the prompt, and pasted it into the AI. I had to tweak the prompts a bit to get more out of them, and eventually, I was satisfied. I updated all the text files.

I plan to sell this on Amazon. So, I downloaded the templates from Amazon. I want to sell a hardback, paperback, and ebook/Kindle edition of the book, which means I had to download multiple templates. I also had to download cover templates.

I opened the hardback template and pasted the results for chapter 1 section 1 into it. It looked nice.

I went through several sections of my text files, inputting the prompts into the AI, copying and pasting the results into the text documents. I kept the original results in the text file in case I needed to go back, basically as a reset option. I then copied the text documents into the template. I could only do a few of these a day due to AI limits. This became my daily routine for a week and a few days. Every day I'd copy my prompts, copy the results, paste the results, and paste the results, over and over. Eventually, I did this for all the chapters and sections. This resulted in around 150-200 pages of text.

Next, I'm working on the Glossary and then the Index. Once I've finished those, I'll work on formatting and the cover.

Still curious about this too. I've been in the weeds with something I want to publish, I could make it an ebook, or a video, or a simple thread here on Bhw. Not a huge fan of most AI generated content for personalized materials. To me it lands way too stiff. Would be happy to read something that's AI made but reads 100% human.
