WPML - Rank different Languages

Hi guys,

i have a website i want to rank in several languages, with the main page being English. I use WPML in Wordpress to achieve the logic behind this, and im running yoast. The website I have has some 99% blackhat backlinks, which resulted in a high ranking of the main page in English, where also the biggest competition is. Sadly my rankings arent that good for the other languages (a lot worse actually, despite less competition).

So im wondering if there are any options I didn't set to mark the content as a translation of the "high ranking" content. Appreciate any help!

Best option is to buy ltd domains from other language caountrys and clone your website + make backlinks using anchors in those languages.

Hm, but seeing that its not a very competetive niche, you think its not possible to rank good with one single site containing the translations?

yes it is. you can do it ofcourse (backlink to language versions) but the best option is to make just seprate websites
