I want to install this on my autoblogs.

There area a ton of settings for this thing, other than turning it on, do I really need to go thru all those settings, or can I just turn it on and leave the default settings?

    Thanks

You can pretty much go with the default settings IMHO.

I installed it today only becoz my website become too slow from last couple of day... that too its on vps... not getting very high traffic also.. its around 15K page view and 7K unique per day....

So installed it today.. seems to b ok... becoz if anyone open a page, it comes in a cache and it will server the same page to all other user from cache.. so server load defintely will come down..

I might be able to give you exact review in 2 days.... Yes, I have kept default setting..

Yes, it makes a bit of a difference in page load times in my experience. One of the key developers (Donncha) is also a dev on the WP team. Also, FWIW, I usually turn off caching for logged in users so I can see changes on the fly even when I'm logged into a site. Forgot to mention that.

Though I have one concern.. If I put any banner with affiliate link (direct link... no cloaking)... does this also comes from caching.. Any chances of not getting the credit for the sale

I do the same thing - aff. link w/no cloaking - on some autoblogs and no it definitely isn't cached by super cache, and I've seen affiliate sales go thru so no I don't think you'll have any linkjacking issues due to super cache.

I use W3 Total Cache on 100% of my wp sites now. W3TC is way more superior then super cache. default settings will get you off the ground, but if you take the time to get memcache installed on your site, you will have an instant 400% increase assuming you make your memcache allocation large enough to fit your sites and have a 80% hit rate or better.
