Hi guys,

Hope it's an appropriate post and I did my googling but...

GSC started showing visitors drop on a home page of one of my site
Like ,steady loss every day.
Prior to that it was exactly the opposite for a few months

URL inspection says the home page (example.com) is on Google while the original page (example.com/this-fucking-page) is not on Google.
And multiple attempts to recrawl don't bring any effect while URL IS available to Google
I tried like 5 times to no avail
Don't even remember if I ever submitted that page for indexing or checked it before making it a home page though

So , well, WTF is going on? Sitemaps kinda fine, no blocking issues etc. Where to look now?

Thx in advance!

Helpful content update or link spam update prolly.

I'm also facing some unnatural pages indexing on a WP website. Looking some help

Thanks,
Actually, the page itself has like 12 backlinks, mostly NF
Could this be a temporary thing and what should be normally done?
Some of other pages were also dropped from indexing before but got back after a single request

I want to understand this. Are you saying that (example.com/this-fucking-page) is blocked by robots.txt or it is simply not appearing in Google for a particular query?

A little more on this shit

Some days after this the home page kinda started getting back on track and then stats dropped again.
Not sure if it's better to wait a little more .
Does it make a sense to replace the home page alltogether or "re-optimize" it for different KW?

Currently t looks like if your site is about sandwiches and two or more pages have word "sandwich" in title it's a fkin deadly sin by Google's judgement
Even if the content is totally different it suddenly has problems

Is it mostly canonical URL issues in this case?

Canonical is for duplicate content issues. Your content is not duplicate, just the use of the same word in different context. I imagine since you have "sandwich making" and "sandwich supplies" they are still both hitting on "sandwich". I don't think canonicals would apply here but I could be wrong.

And it also feels like Google is silently testing or implementing some new kind of sh1t

Which looks like a sudden "shadowban" of pages that were performing pretty okay just recently

do site:domain.com on Google

and see how many pages indexed now?

Well , I know the URL is not on Google because Google URL inspectio tool says it pretty clear
I'd rather need the solution or at least to know wtf I am dealing with.
