Most premium themes require images to be saved to your server in order for their script to grab the image and set as thumbnails on the home page or category page, posts themselves seem to work fine though (so if your setup your home page in blog format they will work ok, not what I want though). Since wp-robot is unable to save images locally is there a workaround to make that image automatically shown as thumbnails on themes homepage? I find this incredibly frustrating that I can't use a decent theme with wp-robot, at least for autoblogs. :(

Dont know if you tried this already but make sure you have the correct directory permissions.. I had that happen to one of my blogs, found the directory the images had to go to , then changed permission and it worked.

Well I don't think that is the issue since any image that wp-robot grabs is not locally hosted. So they're not in a directory at all, they're hotlinked. That's the problem. :-(

Quote from the guys at WP-Robot regarding this ...

He says some themes use custom fields to specify thumbs. Does anyone know any? I sure can't find any. I checked woothemes, ithemes, and elegant themes no luck yet.

Yo could try the plugin Get The Image, that will work, read the instructions though before you activate it, because you need to place a simple code in your template then activate it etc, hope this helps. :)
