WP Plugins to fill out sidebar more?

I generally like my websites to look full and active. Was wondering if you had any suggestions for a plugin or what I could do to the sidebar to make it look "filled out". By filled out, I mean, like, a newsletter signup, facebook like widget etc. I generally like the sidebar to be filled up all the way down the distance of the article.

Guess it goes back to those RSSGM days when we tried to make totally automated sites look "real".

my suggestion: Image Widget

once it is up:
1) as an image insert the logo of your project
2) title: the moto/slogan of your site
3) alternate text: your url without http part
4) .. the most important

Subscription, newsletter etc look good. You could also get some ads on there.
