I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas if there are any wordpress plugins that would do a specific thing.

I'm looking for something that will allow readers to input information into the site(preferably autonomously, but it don't have to) and it would plug it into a form(preferably spreadsheet) that would be publicly viewable and updated when they submit it.

One option I was thinking was maybe buddypress, but I'm not sure,

I have also experimented with Drupal and it looks like I could probably do it with that, but if there was some sort of wordpress plugin that does it easier I would love to know about it. I have searched all over and so far no luck. But if anyone has any Ideas I would greatly appreciate it!

@secondfire - wtf is the point of your post? It reeks of post inflation.

@op - google docs has some pretty interesting WP integration for polling and user feedback you might want to check out; or there's a tonne of guestbook type plugins where users can submit feedback

my main thought with goog docs is I'm pretty sure there's a way to get the data entered in spreadsheet format, which you mentioned as an interest

final option I can think of right now is to have a contact form where users can submit their stuff via a file (and you could limit it to spreadsheet file formats if you want), that would take some of your time but you could script the parsing and publishing of the submitted data to automate it

drupal is a shit platform IMHO, so I'd keep looking at WP based options if I were you....

Cool I appreciate the advice! The google form stuff is super cool, in the end I ended up using gravityforms option of creating posts from user input and fortunately some excellent folks posted a nullded version in the downloads section, hopefully if the site I made takes off I can afford to purchase the plugin, because it's pretty amazing. Just thought I'd share what I did too.
