Hi Guys,

I have a blog that i have set up and i am looking to start adding content to it automatically but also continue to add my own stuff.

There is one particular website i would like to automatically get content from but not 100% sure how to do it. The site has both articles and he/she embeds videos directly on their site from various video upload sites like yout*be, dailym*tion etc (most of the vids are on the chinese or russian sites).

Is anyone aware how i can make get the videos he/she embeds automatically on my site?

I don't particularly want to post the name of the site on here but if anyone thinks they can help i can pm you the site so you can see what i am talking about.

I know there are plugins such as wp-o-matic, and various yout*be embed plugins but i am not sure if these are able to what i need.

The site does have an RSS feed, if that helps.

Hope you guys can help.

Hey Cuppa,

Unless they have an rss feed only for the videos they upload then you would need to do a bit of coding.

It would be something like this:

1. grab the rss feed daily
2. regex for some video embed code
3. if found, post to blog

$10 on RAC/EL will get it done for you.
Unless there is a really configurable plugin out there that I haven't heard of.

Thanks for the reply but i haven't a clue what that means! lol.

I started using wp-o-matic but when it pulls the articles you can only watch the video by clicking on it and being re-directed to the original site. Was hopy to have the vids show on my site.
