WP-admin panel slow as hell

For the past month, my admin panel has been very very slow and I can't seem to find out what it is.

Theme: Flatsome
Hosting: SiteGround

Plugins:

All 404 Redirect to Homepage
Auto Image Attributes From Filename With Bulk Updater
Better Search Replace
Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order
Code Snippets
FileBird
Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights
SiteGround Optimizer
Tidio Chat
WooCommerce
WooCommerce Random Product Sorting with Pagination
WooSidebars
WP REST API - OAuth 1.0a Server
WPCode - Insert Headers, Footers, and Code Snippets
Yoast Duplicate Post
Yoast SEO
Yoast SEO Premium

Any of those plugins known for causing this?

A fair note to add: most of the slowness comes when searching products / deleting products.

i think you use too many plugins , remove at least the half , i had the same problem

Each plugin has a different function - feel free to state which one(s) can be combined.
 
A number of plugins is quite big and I would suspect that but you specified you are on siteground hosting so i doubt that is it, i had sites with them with 2x that amount of plugins, generating tons of pages on the fly.
 
to investigate the problem I suggest that you deactivate them all and start activating them one by one while testing your admin panel until you find the one that's causing the issue, when you do, if the plugin got downloaded by a lot of users without reporting the same issue as yours it's most likely a hosting issue and you need to go through their system requirements and recommendations and see if they match yours.
 
You should disable all the plugins and activate them one by one to see if any plugin is causing the issue.
 
it could be database issue, install Plugins Garbage Collector (Database Cleanup) and clean up
 
Is this any crack or nulled plugins or theme? Because these often create such issues.
 
2 possible reasons:

1) Your webserver is slow. Commonly happens if you're using shared hosting at the low tier. Time to upgrade (more RAM, processing power, etc).

2) Your website is being hit by bots, hence the slowness as the server is hard trying to serve content to all those bots. One major sympton of this if when you are receiving lots of spam comments, bot traffic, or contact form spam.

Install an anti-bot traffic plugin like StopBadBots, etc. If you haven't protect your contact form or comment forms, do so too. Get Akismet or CleanTalk or Recaptcha .

I would suggest trying option 2 first.

1) I run four sites on a 8gb ram server - I don’t think the issue lies there

2) This is an interesting take, I’ve been getting a lot of those comments and form inputs, I’ll look into this thank you
 
this looks like either a plugin issue, or a database one. Just uninstall each plugin, separately, to check if the speed improves, or like @serkah said, install PGC and do the thing
 
Turn off the heartbeat and get a proper hosting.

Edit: Aaaah, now I see you are using Siteground. That's the absolute worst of the worst and it's 100% the reason for your issues. I experienced the same with them back in the day.

Migrate your site immediately and you will see miracles happen.

Personal advice: Go with Chemicloud.

PS: I literally did the same migration (SG to CC) a couple years ago.

Really? I always thought SiteGround was one of the better hosting ones.

i checked out Chemicloud but max disk seems to be 40gb - I have roughly 30,000 images devided over 4 sites so I don’t think that’ll fit.

any other proper hostings?

The cheapest VPS for $60 has 80gb space and the one for $270 has 640gb of space.

Also mate, regarding the opening post, if you go with shared hosting for $8 a month, then not sure what you are expecting in terms of speed.

You get what you pay for.

Oh I guess I didn’t find the right thing.

current hosting is about $400 so it will def be cheaper.
Do they also migrate the server for you?

Yes, as long as I remember, they will help you with the migration. Just contact support via chat and they will guide you through the process. Their support is top notch.
 
You need to check with ur hosting provider and also see php version.
