Is anyone else working with Hotelscombined.com ? I swear there support is TERRIBLE.. They just informed me that they were dropping my rate by 20% bc they want me to switch to "private branding" And i told them I would have to change THOUSANDS of links by hand on all my blogs so i did not want to do this cuz it would take way too long.. I blank my referers so there scared about "legal" issues which is why they want me to do this in the 1st place..But So I ignored there email and Now just got a email earlier that my lead rate will decrease 20% EVERY week until i do this..which is fucking bullshit..i mean wtf.. Anyone else being treated like absolute shit by these guys? I mean I'm pushing nearly 5 figures a month and they still refuse to put me on weekly payments and there treating me like this (I'm on net 30) Yeah its only a high xxxx per month but still i think i deserve better support then this..

PLus the thing is with this affiliate program is they put a cookie on your browser whenever someone visits ur link..so if the user returns within 365 days and books another hotel you get commission AGAIN. So i would be losing out on all my return visitors as well

What should i do? I would switch to another hotel affiliate program but i hate to change something thats already profitable. And can't even find a half way decent one.. Should i tell them how it is? I dont want them to ban my account and have me lose all my cash..Could really use some advice..

Anyways if i were anyone i would stay away from them or set up a private branding page right away.. Also dont even THINK your gonna get weekly payments bc according to them when i asked for quicker payments....

All our systems are built to process payments only once a month. Changing this at all would require massive amounts of programming and a completely different set of processes for our Accounts Department.

This simply isn't something we are interested in attempting, as there would be no real benefit to us, and it would in fact make it easier for fraudulent affiliates to dodge our security systems.

Besides, I'm sure you'll find that our payment terms are already much shorter than most other online monetisation channels.

    Regards,

Anyways sorry about my rant.... these guys just have me really pissed off

If they are dicking you because you blank the referrer... stop blanking the referrer! If they are clicking in from your blogs, nothing black hat about that so I don't see what the big deal is.

They are dicking him around because he doesn't feel like changing thousands of links to their "private branding" so there isn't any legal issues but it shouldn't be his problem due to the fact they gave him the link and if they where thinking of a plan like this they should have warned the affiliate in the beginning way before it went into action.

I did a quick Google search... well a couple searches and came across this fix and it should take a couple minutes to do and all your links will be changed.

I don't know about mass edit links but when I need to do bulk search and replace I use this:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search-and-replace/

That plugin has saved my ass from having to mass edit anything on my sites. I had one company force me to change wording on 2000 pages  and this plugin let me do it in a couple of minutes.

    hotelscombined SUCKS..

They only pay like 20 cents a lead that converts....
while other hotels pay you up to 30% commission..
30% commission out of a $60 hotel stay is $20..
These crooks pay only 20 cents.....

hotels combined is a RIP OFF in my opinion
There are so much better hotel affiliate programs...

if you make what you say with them per month.....
with any other affilliate program you would be making that much a day.....

Look elsewhere.... you can do WAY BETTER THAN THOSE SCAMMERS....

avoid Hotels combined..... you can find better...

Not sure if booking com is a good one though. What you guys have with the conversions?

I have sent 50k targeted travel visitors to them and only 2 conversions...

Thats not possible, 2 out of 50k is way too low for traffic to be targetted. How did you generate targetted traffic?

    OK, so we got:

    hotelscombined
    booking dot com
    sletoh

I've seen more, I didn't get approved in a couple of them for whatever reason, so I'm also interested. I have 4-5 travel related sites, not much traffic, but maybe would be worth pushing...

OK, there is a whole bunch in CJ:

    cheapostay
    hotelroom
    bookhotelrooms
getaroom (I like that name! :D

There are 5 pages of hotel and travel related offers!

    Any experience with those?

I have a couple of WH hotel and travel sites. The visitors that landed on their site had actively search for hotels in whichever region they are interested in through the hotel search widget...i.e...targeted as they are actively looking for hotel stay.

This is what makes me puzzled as to the conversions. I have sent around 600 visitors to their site each day for the past 3 months through the 2 sites and only 2 conversions.

Now I am looking at trying other hotel programs now.

    What is your conversion like?

ok...just bought this site on flippa

    https://flippa.com/2657233-amazing-hotels-and-cheap-flights-best-price-comparison-site

found that it was an affiliate of hotelscombined

not sure if i got ripped off actually, i'm still pretty new to this game and i've got relatively little time to build wp sites, etc...i'd rather focus on seo/marketing. according to the posts above, however, it sounds like the seller might have overstated the payouts...any advice on what you would do next?
