Would you use Blockchain Messengers?

WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, etc., all have end-to-end encryptions, even if they would not have that, most people just don't care that much about their data leaking, or being used by big corporations...
Also, how does ''blockchain'' actually be used in a messenger app., it's a ledger for transactions...

Hell no - never blockchain messenger. Every message would be archived in the blockchain. All the time the Newspaper say the security would be better because the messages would be decentralized safed and encrypded. But they dont understand the technology.
If you wanna use a secure messenger use only Signal. They have implemented a quantum resistance protocol.

Honestly, unless it becomes mass adopted, no.
And even if it becomes mass adopted on let's say Messenger/WhatAPP level, it would depend on how the messages are stored, what is shared & accessible publicly and what not.
Lastly, what's the point using a messenger when no one uses it?
Just like Web3 emails..
Standard emails are highly unsafe by design, yet, you don't see everyone flocking to Web3 emails...

A friend got banned for a discord message, don't be fooled. They are watching.
Signal is the only private messaging app i know.
Maybe it can be used with ZK proofs. But you are correct, most blockchains are public. The only feature you get is that messages can't be removed / censored

My guess is that the "messenger" crypto project OP has in mind pairs the typical blockchain distributed software ledge tracking with an ADD ON feature of relaying messenger date like voice and text / documents.
Encryption is an obvious issues
Practicality is another given how widely available and easy to use Whatsapp and other similar apps are to use.
Other variations of this "add on" feature to a distributed blockchain network involves videos and social media.... these projects (and their matching tokens/coins) haven't gained much traction

yes from this perspective, blockchain can be an interesting business case for digital wills, contracts or trustees.
