Would you remove these links?

I have just bought an expired domain and i am wondering about something. As an example, if the domain was "New York dentist" and you were planning on turning it into "London dentist", would you remove the links that had anchor text like "Dentist in New York" etc?. Or do you think this wont matter?

Any help would be really appreciated
