Would you purchase a negative SEO service?

Well this is more of an ethics question than anything. And the answer to ethical questions isn't always black and white.

For instance, is it ok to kill someone? Most people would say no.
But what if that person brutally raped and murdered 5 teenage girls? The ethics there change. Which is what the death
penalty is for.

I think its perfectly ok to use neg SEO if you're dealing with the type of competitor I am.
Its just 1 of my niches but I started a neg SEO campaign on his site a week ago.

I have been watching this 1 niche for 5+ years. This guys backlinks haven't changed in that long
yet he holds the #1 position for most of his keywords.

What I've noticed is sometimes a site will outrank him, then the sites disappear within a few months.
And his backlinks never change.

So I decided to rank a site in his niche and managed to outrank him for almost 8 months. One day my
ranks started dropping drastically, and I noticed all these shitty exploit links showing up with the same
anchor text used over and over. Everyday more and more of these links would show up, and my ranks
eventually plummeted.

It became obvious someone had neg SEO'd me, and obviously my #1 competitor was the main suspect.

I started doing more research on the guy and noticed he had been locked up before and did time in jail.
Whats more interesting is he got locked while trying to sell a job to some homeowners. They didn't like
the price, he started arguing with them, they asked him to leave and he wouldn't leave. The guy started
making threats, and was locked up. The cops had to take him out of the house.

I also saw him twice on the news being accused of fraud (undercover operations by CBS and NBC) but he
was never arrested for that shit. His online reputation is destroyed, and he has dozens of terrible reviews,
but still ranks #1 for lots of keywords.

He still sells a lot of work because we run into former clients of his all the time. And ALL of them have
terrible things to say. People who have been ripped off, scammed, etc. We not one person has said yet
they have taken him to court. And he is doing very shady shit like giving them fake receipts, changing
prices one they've started the work, and lots of other things I can't mention cause it would exploit the
niche.

I will keep building overoptimized spam to his site, and all his internal pages until the site goes down.
And I will celebrate the day his site gets penalized. Then I will rank my new site #1 like it was before.
If he wants to neg SEO that site too, I don't care. Because I have a plan B & C.

To sum up. I think there are obvious uses for neg SEO. I view it like a fight. You always wait for the
person to swing first. And when they do, you fire off hits like an ak47.

That's something I wouldn't do either. If you want to "beat" him, work harder, don't destroy his work only because his better than you. In my country there's saying that goes like this: "It only takes a madman to throw a rock in a lake, but it takes 100 geniuses to get it out".

Please quote who you are addressing. Because if you are addressing me you have no idea what you're talking about.
I already "worked harder" and outranked him for 8 months. But when someone starts building thousands of spam links, all with the same anchor text, you're fucked. I'm not going to sit around all day disavowing new links and building more high pr links, especially when this douchebag has weaker SEO than I do. But he keeps fucking up my SEO with spam.

And in a way, I am working harder (3xs harder). Because now I'm SEO'n a brand new site, neg SEO'n his site, and on top of that trving to save my original site. When in the beginning all I was doing was trying to rank the original site. But that site is mostly fucked so I have no other course of action.

I would not do it just to help me competing for ranking, it is lowest level at which point I would rather change my business. At the same time I know some holes who scammed my friend refusing to pay him and hired someone else, I would not feel guilty buying this service for them.

A lot of people here are saying the morally 'right' thing.

However, I'm 100% certain if OP opened a service that was anonymous - they would see a lot of sales. People say one thing, and do another.

There are great services already on Fiverr. We are all on a blackhat forum, Negative SEO is blackhat. I do not see what the problem is. DEindexing a website I feel no remorse.

In fact if it does not get deindexed then I just report it to Google. In 3 months gone!

I know guys that make a ton of $$$ doing Ripoff reports etc... Then they call up the company for reputation services.

Although using negative seo is a viable and effective tactic to diminish your competitors rankings, at the end of the day you need to think to yourself, is what I am doing not only morally wrong but also in fact illegal? (defamation)

There is no way to get caught or no way to get proof. I use a VPN. In fact Ill blame it on another sometimes like:

"This spam is brought to you by Xrumer SEO" or use any name, they get heat also lol. How else do you have fun?

I personally would not do it on a day to day basis, but if they copied a site; I would contact them.. if they do not take down the site, then they are going down. No time in the conversation would I say the name of my website.

I in fact have done negative SEO against myself but used it as a marketing tool. People are always (and I was) so scared of negative this that or the other. Use it to your advantage, and if you have never looked at it that way, well start now lol.

I used it because when people see a product/service they want or hear about the first thing they do (from my observation of people) is look for the bad crap on it right away. So why let someone else put bad crap about your product when it can be you who does it?

I would putting headings like "warning read this before you purchase X product" and it would say things like I found this at a better price but the product is great or the service is great.

Or things like, "I received my package on time but it was mis-labeled and I was SOOO MAD and I called in to customer service and Jenny was so great and helped me out. They resent the package, I just hope it is not mis-labeled again." and this way you're saying the service was great and things go to me on time but the "error" was very small no big deal. This way you can eliminate a lot of emotion or at least drown it out a little. The alternative is having others put reviews (and in most cases they do, but you are using the arena to fight back and make it look better)at their discretion and because they were mad they blah blah blah.

I wouldn't. Try to put that money and effort into your own site and improve it with better UX and content...pays off more in the long-term

ok but slightly different theory, but what about a competitor who is #1 by spamming and purchasing high pr back links, doorway pages, cloaking etc. Instead of neg seo would you send a abuse report to google every day until they are gone without neg seo?

Is xrumer still working for negative seo? I remember back in 2012 I got several big "attacks" with xrumer and I didn't move anywhere in SERPs...

instead of wasting money trying to get a competitor off i better purchase service to rank my site.

Yes Xrumer works very well for negative SEO. Use the same Anchor, thousands of links, then gone to Limbo.

No, I would not, because it does not work.

hahaha I guess if you are really bad at seo then start negative seo service. logic like this only hurts the industry and will hurt all of us in the end its why it should not be used ever even if someone done it to you.

In the long run it isn't worth it.
