would you promote this ebook

Me and my friends are busy writing an eBook and I'm wondering if it will sell, basically its a motivational/inspirational book the length is 100 pages, totally awesome book, anyways if I price it at 60 bucks and set the affiliate commission for 66%, where you get a $40 cut would you promote the book, I am asking this questions so that I can have a estimate of the potential affiliates that would promote this book. keep in mind that the value of the book is based on its content

BTW, we will be setting up our own affiliate network, selling eBooks with great content, nothing below 60 pages and non of that get rich quick stuff

What is the niche?

Yeah, it's definitely too expensive for an e-book... People can get whole programs and videos for that amount, even real, high quality books.

If you make an incredible offer & landing page then you will get affiliates.

Affiliates need a good reason to promote your product.... for example; customers can download the ebook for just $1 and get charged the full amount after 5 days. This way the customer won't be scared of taking the risk of buying it and as long as the content of the ebook is good then most of them will allow you to charge them the $59 after 5 days. This will give you a high gravity on CB and affiliates will sign up and start promoting for you in buckets loads.

Agree with others, price's too high, almost college textbook price there....

Motivational / inspirational books gotta be cheap so they sell millions......

Looks like you a charging a high price.
People are more suspicious of spending over $50 for an ebook because they have been burnt before buying rehashed crap.
If your content is totally unique and delivers what it promises then you might be OK

Will you be using ClickBank? Look out for refunds as after spending $60 on an ebook you might find people suffering from buyers remorse.

inspirational books at $60 is high and also very few are attracted.. so go with others in reducing price.

Have you seen what your competitors are doing within your niche? IMO, $60 is a bit steep for a motivational book. So make sure you do a lot of research that can be added on your LP to answer doubts your potential consumer may have.

At first glance $60 sounds too high for an inspirational book. But decisions should be made on data. Since you are giving a $40 cut to the affiliate, the assumption is that it costs you more than $40 to sell one book. This number should ideally be backed by hard data. In case you have not found this number number via data I would suggest you do the following.

Create a landing page - put up a sample chapter for free - and send some traffic to the website. This will give you an idea of how well the traffic converts at a specific price point. You can A/B test the price or start at 60 and go lower if you are not getting sales. Spend a small but decent amount on advertising - adwords, facebook, book forums. The data you gather from this will tell you (1) at what price the book sells and (2) how much it costs to sell one book (3) what are your best advertising sources

I believe that affiliate marketing should be done if there are two reasons - (1) you don't want to spend the time or effort in marketing (2) traditional marketing spends mean that the cost of selling a book is more than the price of the book. Affiliates are going to advertise your book only if they are sure about the sales. They do not get to set the price. You do. The worse thing you could do is price it wrong, start affiliate marketing too early and then have all the affiliates pull out because there are no sales happening.

Not so expensive if your website argue a lot for this.

And yes you can find a lot of seller for this price i think.
