Would you pay 10K for a method/tactic?

For me, it's all a numbers game. If I'm buying stock, I'll look at P/E as one factor. If I am buying a business I will look at (audited) financials and base a decision on price from earnings (and maybe revenue) and reasonable expectation that those earnings will continue, and possibly even grow. Even real estate now is a good buy if you can make it cash flow. But a tactic that may only last weeks is a very high risk investment, and to spend 10K I would have to feel that I could make 50K back in a very short period of time (to pay for the tactics that cost 10K but earn squat). Very similar to the venture capital business LOL. But that's just one's guy's opinion. -e-

Bactboats: It is exactly what you are saying. This wasnt a big stupid 'Guru' product launch where everyone throws their hard earned money at. This was a deal between 2 people privately.
Like I said, no sales page, no product launch and no website.
I am not selling anyone here for anyone that thought I am. I dont see BHW as a place for me to launch products, I see it as a place to increase my knowledge, help others and to make possible long-term friends in the same business as I.
Yes the method is already producing results and yes I am very happy and yes this method will make me back 20 times what I paid for it but that is not the point of this thread.
I started this thread to see what others thoughts were and most people posted good intellectual posts regarding the issue and it is much appriceated.
For the small number who think I am going to make a post in the BST section, selling this method for 2K, you are very wrong there.

I don't think that most will drop 10K for a method without knowing more details. Not the very specifics, but the general idea of what kind of method it is. For example, making money with PPC, CPA, PPI, adult, etc...
I've had moderate success with some of the stuff sold here (but not for 10K
) so one cannot assume *everything* is a scam.

I have to agree on that. It sounds like you started the thread to remedy some buyers' remorse. Cool--but if you're gonna bring up the subject on your own volition and then be coy about it thats kind of a dick move.

newboyontheblock response acknowledged and respected. I am somebody who can wrap my brain around spending 10G's but only under 1 to 1 and in person.
as far as "YOU HAVE TO SPEND BIG TO MAKE IT BIG!" I don't know if that is 100% true but I surely believe it makes getting there easier.

The answer to the original question is NO. I have a hard time spending more than $100 - $200 for just about anything and to spend $200 I need 7,000 good reviews and know that it's good until I find the time to implement it, for stuff that doesn't have many good reviews I might risk $50 max. VBulletin is a solid investment no matter how many licenses you buy.

Paid $33,000 for a level III release in a high end program. Made $1.7 million in 19 months with it. When I paid the money a few of my friends called me an idiot and now they want me back them in a couple opportunities. Being the nice guy that I am I told them to blow me and I'll think about it.
