Hello all. Wondering if this will work. We are pretty new to the game and looking to increase websites ranking for our business. would buying domain names with the keywords and adding articles that link back to our site help with seo? It is my understanding if we buy the domain name of the long tail keyword, example "city, keyword" and put a article up there is a decent chance of it ranking well. is it true? We are in a smaller city so competition isn't crazy.

Otherwise what would be good ways in doing this?

Yeah it works. Get long tailed domain name, uniq quality content and lots of backlinks and for sure you rank.

domain name helps some, especially in Bing/Yahoo. But anchor text backlinks help more

yea it works, but let's take it further.

build up the satelite sites link juice.

Then go talk to indirect competitors in the same niche and do 3 way link trades. i.e you link to my money site I link to you money site with all my satelite sites
